Are you ready for our special announcement? In a visionary ‘Dove meets Stellar’ style fashion, we are proud to present the Step FWD Awards which will take place on Saturday 27th November 2021, in-person at St. Paul’s, Hammersmith and shall also be broadcasted online. This is the first-ever of its kind in the UK, as it will be as much about honouring UK history and legacy across the past 40 years as it will be about recognising the talent of the last 13 months. Another significant aspect of the Step FWD Awards is that it will follow in the unique and dedicated work of the UK Christian Charts, in bringing together all genres, all styles, all nations together.
aStepFWD have had the privilege of running the UK Christian Charts for over 7 years now, with the last 13 months operating with a 12 category chart system spanning the likes of Gospel and Contemporary Worship to genres such as Reggae, Pop, Rap, Afrobeat to Indie / Folk / Acoustic. 3,700+ tracks have been processed to date from over 600 hundred new and established artists that aStepFWD and the UK Christian Charts has introduced and supported over the years. The UKCC is a public voting system that runs in parallel with a judging panel that comprises over 150 of the top influencers and platforms in the UK Christian music industry. There truly is no other chart like this!
You might be wondering why the UK Christian music scene needs another awards event? Simply, we have so many talented creatives from varying genres and backgrounds that it is about time we pay homage for their service to the UK Christian music scene. We have little room and few chances to celebrate and honour them publicly for their contributions to the music and media industry both in the UK and abroad. More importantly, Step FWD Awards have chosen to focus on honouring and aims to live up to Romans 12 verse 10:
“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.”
This revolutionary awards initiative is set to celebrate and honour so many incredibly talented individuals, all working for God’s glory to bring the gospel message to people through use of their various skills and art forms. The Step FWD Awards will also play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the worlds of Gospel and CCM and everything in-between.
So, continuing in its fashion of trailblazing, aStepFWD has once again committed to its vision of producing and organising something both special and unique to the UK Christian music scene.
Save the date – 27th November 2021 – and get yourself ready for what will be a spectacular and blessed experience. More info coming and tickets on sale soon!
