Los Angeles, Calif. (July 13, 2021) — 1DayLA is mobilizing 20,000 volunteers from across Southern California to serve the county of Los Angeles from July 18-24, culminating in ‘The Freedom Experience’ at the brand new SoFi Stadium on July 24 – a major live concert event featuring Justin Bieber, with special performances by Chance The Rapper, Tori Kelly, Jaden Smith, and more.
Just announced, 1DayLA is offering an exclusive “The Freedom Experience VIP Seating & Event Pass Giveaway” available to LA area radio and media outlets. These special passes will be provided to media partners on a case-by-case basis and all local Los Angeles area broadcast outlets are open to participate.
The unprecedented movement will unite and offer communities across Los Angeles hope and help by organizing city beautification projects, back-to-school events, free medical clinics, homeless assistance, and aid distribution. Volunteers will choose a location to provide three hours minimum service on July 24 and can register at 1DayLA.com to join the team. Bieber was inspired to join the 1DayLA movement because of his strong and long-held belief that giving of ourselves in service to others is one of the most important things we can do. Bieber is committed to the powerful idea that a movement for change can start with individuals helping one another and their community.
The 1DayLA movement will invest tens of thousands of service hours into hundreds of L.A. County blocks, powerfully impacting its communities through hundreds of ongoing service projects. More than 10,000 individuals and 600+ organizations, including the Stand Together Foundation, which supports social entrepreneurs helping people in poverty transform their lives, have already signed on to commit their involvement — as well as much of the Hollywood/L.A. community, national and local influencers. 1DayLA volunteer team members will receive a special event pass, providing access to The Freedom Experience at SoFi Stadium.
1DayLA’s “7 Initiatives” include:
Initiative 1 – Transform local faith communities into serve centers.
Initiative 2 – Abolish $47 million in medical debt across L.A. County.
Initiative 3 – Give SoCal’s most vulnerable children a safe place to call home.
Initiative 4 – Reach, rehabilitate and restore L.A.’s inmates.
Initiative 5 – Lead thousands of homeless into rehabilitation programs.
Initiative 6 – Ignite a movement of men committed to their families.
Initiative 7 – Mobilize a historic team.
1DayLA’s motto is simply this: “We believe that love can change a city, inspire a nation and shift the national conversation from what divides us, to what brings us all together.
