(Colorado Springs CO) – Chief Operating Officer Lloyd Parker has announced his upcoming departure from WAY-FM.
He and his wife Ellen will be relocating to Georgia to be near his
daughter Taryn and her family. Parker will continue to work with the
ministry during a time of transition, while being available to assist
other organizations.
Parker commented, “Ellen and I haven’t been
able to live near our kids for over 10 years. The opportunity to be
near Taryn opened up this summer and with much prayer decided it was a
good time to make the move. Our regret is that our son Rory and his
family couldn’t live closer to us. We wish God’s richest blessings for
the entire WAY team and ministry. We have very fond memories of this
chapter in our lives.”
WAY-FM President & CEO John Scaggs
noted, “Lloyd is a joy to work with and know on both a personal and
professional level. Just in the last year, Lloyd pulled-off 3 major
projects all the while running the WAY operation. It is an
understatement to say it is going to hard filling the void Lloyd’s
departure creates. I know I speak for all the WAY team when I say we
will miss Lloyd’s daily contribution. I am grateful Lloyd can take what
he’s learned and accomplished at WAY, K-LOVE/Air1 and other places and
further serve organizations in this next phase of his storied career”.
